Applicants for Cannabis License or Endorsement must submit fingerprints to the Department of Revenue Cannabis Control Division upon initial application and every 3 years afterwards.
Renewal applications must be submitted annually for each license and name-based background checks will be run in non-fingerprint years. Testing Laboratory Agents must submit fingerprints every year. The fingerprints are to facilitate a background check by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to determine whether you have been convicted of a felony or a misdemeanor drug offense.
