The department relies on commercial property owners to provide their income and expense information to assist in the department’s determination of fair and equitable commercial property values statewide.
The department keeps all income and expense information reported confidential, as provided in 15-8-120, MCA.

How to Submit Your Application
- Online Submission: Income and Expense Survey Web Application. Note: A Montana State Single Sign-on Service Okta Account is required.
- Complete a survey for each of your commercial property geocodes. The geocodes can be found in the income and expense reporting letter mailed to you.
- Paper Form Submission: Fill out, download, and either email, mail, or hand deliver your completed form and all supporting documents to the Montana Department of Revenue field office servicing the county where your property is located.
