Job Overview:
This position resides in the Business & Income Taxes Division of the Department of Revenue. The Business and Income Tax Division ensures secure handling of taxpayer information and data. BIT’s auditing technicians perform a variety of duties assigned by management. Duties include conducting simple examinations of various types of tax returns, adjusting tax returns, conducting research, communicating internally and externally, and participating in the appeal process. Auditing technicians also provide support for other unit operations and complex examination activities. The position does not supervise other staff.

Education and Experience
We prefer, but do not require, that you possess the following experience, or education, for the first day of work:
- High School Diploma or GED qualification
- One year of professional work experience is preferred, but not required, in accounting, money management, banking, bookkeeping or another related field.
Other combinations of education and experience will be evaluated on an individual basis.
