This position resides in the Information Management and Collections Division of the Department of Revenue. The Information Management Bureau is responsible for: processing paper and electronic payments, returns and correspondence; managing customer information; managing software vendor relations. In this role as a Business Analyst I for the Digitization team, you will perform a variety of task. Typical job duties for this position include:

  • Conduct research and data analysis regarding imaging operations
  • Enter, track, maintain, analyze, and report program data
  • Recommend system improvements pertaining to imaging workflow, mail, and document preparation
  • Write business requirements needed for the imaging process to develop multiple software programs
  • Write test scenarios, coordinate testing and training for new or modified processes
  • Coordinate multiple projects concurrently, maintain project timelines, collaborate with impacted stakeholders
  • Provide technical support to employees for specialized system and knowledge areas
  • Process data through various equipment, software and systems

The Digitization Unit is responsible for:

  • Centralized processing and digitization of incoming paper correspondence, money and returns
  • And consists of data processors and business analyst who report to a Unit Manager
  • We work in a team environment that collaborates to process large influxes of work throughout the year and at other times work on enhancements and efficiencies

Education and Experience

The minimum level needed on the first day of work is:

  • Associate degree in business administration or related field, or four years of experience as a business analyst or related work.
  • Experience should include advance computer skills or office operations and remittance processing technologies.

Other combinations of education and experience will be evaluated on an individual basis.
