Job Overview:

This position resides in the Alcohol Beverage Control Division of the Department of Revenue. The Alcoholic Beverage Control Division provides effective and efficient administration of the Montana alcoholic beverage code with an emphasis on customer service and public safety by applying uniform and fair regulations while ensuring an orderly system for the convenient distribution and responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages. Duties include basic license examination, data entry, and assistance to other license examiners. The position does not supervise other staff.

Education and Experience

The above competencies are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, public administration, criminal justice, law enforcement, or related field; and
  • One year of job-related work experience in compliance or licensing, procurement and contract administration, or program administration.
