Individuals living and paying taxes in Montana with qualifying expenditures.
Installation costs for an alternative energy system installed at your primary dwelling, such as
- Fuel cells that do not require hydrocarbon fuel
- Geothermal systems
- Low-emission wood or biomass
- Photovoltaics (Solar)
- Small hydropower plants under 1 megawatt
- Other recognized nonfossil forms of energy generation
Up to $500
The credit can be carried forward up to four years.
