The Public Information Officer works independently from the department’s divisions so it can provide impartial communication with the public and news contacts.
Did You Know?
You can look up alcoholic beverage license information on our TransAction Portal in the Alcoholic Beverage Control Division section. You can search for license information by city, county, license ID, license type, or name. For example, you can look up how many distilleries and breweries are currently licensed in Montana, or you can find out who owns the license for that bar that just closed down in your town. Other licensing information is available on our Alcohol and Tobacco page and in the Biennial Report
You can look up tax revenue and lots of other tax information in the department’s Biennial Report. Wondering about revenue from the coal severance or the oil and natural gas tax? It’s in there. Need to know the amount of property taxes paid in your county? It’s in there. Alcoholic beverage taxes and sales? They’re in there, too.
